The tips in this recipe are peachy for making really tender liver. Merely the milk takes away *too* much of that liver taste that I really like, leaving me with a pan of rather bland liver. Information technology's nifty if you're trying to get your kids to consume liver, but as someone who actually likes liver, I call back I'll forgo the milk side by side fourth dimension.

I absolutely loved this recipe! I added a little garlic to the pan before I fried the onions, and that gave it a really nice flavour.
03/01/2003
mmmmmm! this realy is the all-time recipe for liver. I had never thought of soaking in milk earlier. When I tried information technology final night it came out fantastic. It was tender, moist and succulent. Non the usual "shoeleather" quality that liver can sometimes take on. Yes I belive this recipe will convert liver haters into liver tryers.
03/07/2007
Swell recipe! My married man raved about the liver. I was a little hesitant since I hadn't cooked liver in over xv years. I used extra virgin olive oil instead of the butter.
04/18/2003
I made this concluding nighttime for dinner at the request of my fiance. I have to acknowledge, liver has never been my favorite dish, and I've never made it before, but this recipe was so easy, and information technology's true, the milk takes out all of the bitter gustation. If it was proficient enough that I cleaned my plate, it deserves 5 stars!!
04/25/2003
it was moist, delicious, and about of all easy easy like shooting fish in a barrel!! i soaked the liver for about 30 mins, and i liked liver without soaking information technology in milk, simply i dont call up i will ever consume liver and onions again unless im using this recipe, information technology was fabulous!! thanks

Not bad recipe overall...love seeing the soaking in milk step like I take always done. I saw Julia Child do that years ago and knew how of import it is but I am amazed at how many people just fry it right out of the pack so complain of the stiff sense of taste! A great tip by the mode, since you are already doing the caramelized onions, do a huge batch upward and make onion marmalade to can a jar or two. Dorsum to the recipe at hand, the only complaint I have with the directions is that someone who hasn't cooked liver before really needs to sympathise what is washed. Liver is much like steak in that past the time it gets to the completely done stage, it gets tough since it keeps cooking later you lot pull it off the heat. You really need to pull it off when information technology's even so slightly pink and that's if you want it completely done...we adopt it pinkish for tenderness. Also, you lot need to add together the onions back Before it'southward washed for this same reason. The time given is actually too long...for the average thickness the way most is packaged, four to v minutes is plenty of time in a medium/hot pan. I also recommend calculation some garlic powder to the flour dredging mixture or some seasoned salt. To really transport this recipe off the charts, make a gravy out of the drippings left in the pan...non likewise thick, and serve it on the side simply it is awesome poured right over the top and served with some thick biscuits.

My Dad is a HUGE liver & onion fan and he LOVED this, as well equally the fact that I made information technology for him. Cracking recipe, its the same as the ane on the package of liver ;)
03/12/2003
This rating comes from hubby, although I did give information technology a piffling taste and I must admit that it was pretty expert. He came home with calves liver, which I've never cooked, so I was happy to detect this recipe. I never would have thought to soak it in milk. He admittedly LOVED this "J" and thanks then much!
09/22/2010
This dish was fantastic. I only soaked the liver while the onions cooked as I prefer the potent liver flavor. After cooking, I added i loving cup of beefiness goop to the pan drippings and cooked until the liquid had reduced by a niggling more than than half. I so added the onions and the liver back to the pan. The remaining liquid thickened nicely to make a delicious gravy. Cheers for this wonderful recipe.
03/27/2011
I've e'er dear liver and onions when it was made correctly by other people, merely I never liked my own. Thanks to this recipe, that has inverse. Soaking the liver in milk really did take out virtually of the bitterness of the liver. Plus, I was overcooking my liver. Wow, some simple tips that really make all the difference in the earth. With the price of meat escalating these days, cooking cheaper foods competently is a crucial skill. Truth be told, I'd prefer a expert calf'southward liver to a ribeye any day. Thank you for the help!

Overnice recipe. Take never constitute a beef liver recipe that wasn't better west/calf'southward liver. Flour mix was a bit bland, then this fourth dimension used some garlic pulverization and hot Hungarian paprika in the flour mix. With a scrap more time, I'd try some other spices but was rushed this evening; milk soak virtually 30 min. but sufficient. I regard the milk soak as optional for flavor (hold with ane reviewer that it sucks a scrap likewise much of the liver flavor out), but Actually necessary for getting the flour to stick! The "don't turn it" advice is great; I've ever stirred and fidgeted with it earlier, which messes up the coating and mushes upwardly the liver. Plow ONCE. Onions were great; tossed in a splash of some white wine for no reason other than I was drinking information technology - don't think it added or detracted! Wife thought information technology was very skilful, too. We both grew up in very different backgrounds - equally huge liver fans. I used to have a pet owl growing up (really) - he liked liver, too, except RAW. Ewwwwwwww.

My wife used to purchase Liver twice a twelvemonth (neither ane of united states of america similar liver) we would swallow a little of it and toss the balance in the bin. When asked why? she bought it, she replied it had peachy Iron content. Let me say this and make information technology crystal articulate since finding your recipe,we now have liver every "WEEK" and there are no leftovers. Cheers for sharing
03/16/2011
I've stock-still liver & onions this mode for many years. As some others have mentioned, I add a footling garlic. After the liver is dredged in flour and in the pan and turned the offset time, I put almost of cup of the left over flour in there ... really! Just dump it in and cook forth with the liver and onions. Viola! Yummy gravy. Of course with that great gravy, ane needs homemade mashed potatoes. A perfect meal.
12/07/2010
Since my wife don't similar liver, I thought the milk soak would change her mind. Nope, she still didn't care for it. And since I grew up eating liver with a stiff flavor, the milk soak extracted the flavor I capeesh. However, the temperature guidelines this recipe gave me reduced the temperatures I had been using for the onions and the liver leaving me with a improve texture of both. My 2nd attempt with this recipe, I eliminated the milk soak, seasoned the liver directly earlier breading it instead of adding the seasoning to the flour, and doubled the butter amount to keep enough moisture in the skillet to simmer the onions and melt the liver. The stop result was the best liver & onions I take e'er fixed. Side by side time I'm going to attempt adding a slight amount of cooking oil instead of doubling on the butter. Oh yeah, the liver I cooked with this recipe was venison liver.
07/23/2011
such a great recipe, im not the biggest fan of liver but i went back for seconds

This recipe is perfectly named! Absolutely! I've been cooking liver for 50 years and and liking it but information technology has never been ameliorate than this. Thank you and then much.
02/06/2014
Oh so proficient!! We already like liver merely this was especially yummy! It was very flavorful and tender. I followed the recipe as written exceptI only soaked it in milk for 30 minutes. I fried some bacon slices first and set bated to break over the superlative later. I sauteed a couple fresh mushrooms with the onions. The liver, the sauteed onions and mushrooms, and the bacon pieces all piled on a serving platter fabricated for a yummy repast with mashed potatoes, and ketchup on the side for dipping. I followed the proffer to mix leftover flour with water in the frying pan to take advantage of all the flavorful pan drippings and this fabricated a proficient gravy for the potatoes. I programme to echo this method again!
02/24/2010
I grew up loving liver and onions simply was never successful at making information technology until trying this piece of cake recipe. I've made information technology using both butter to fry in or oil. . . utilise butter, it makes a big difference! In that location'southward nothing quite like the wonderful sweet flavor of perfectly carmelized onions every bit a companion to the corking taste of perfectly seasoned liver. I ever make enough for my brother-in-law too since our wives won't melt liver for us. This one's a keeper!
07/25/2009
Made this this night. Letting the liver soak in the milk is the key. Wonderful! this recipe is so easy, you don't even demand to save it. I cooked the liver approx. three mins. each side. I fabricated a gravy with chicken broth, some fatty from the pan and flour. I returned the liver to the pan with the gravy simply before serving. I did both onions and bacon. Thanks for sharing.
09/eighteen/2011
Bully recipe. I am a big liver and onions fan and then I'll consume it any style information technology comes out, merely the milk is magic. It fifty-fifty improved the texture which a lot of people dislike. If yous're making liver and onions, this IS the recipe!
02/25/2010
I made this for my Husband and Son concluding nighttime and between the two they ate a whole pound of fried livers and onions. They said it was great.
08/29/2010
This is a great recipe for liver! Learned it from my Russian wife whose female parent makes information technology. The just difference is that I add a bit of sour cream after the liver has browned and allow information technology simmer to taste.
01/21/2011
I don't eat liver, don't care for it just my married man loves it. I made this recipe for his (without my own tasting) and he LOVED it! I added garlic salt, paprika and pepper to the flour, didn't turn them but once and also did the salary with the onions. I did the milk soak for well-nigh 40 minutes, used beef calves livers. I volition definitely make this again or at to the lowest degree teach him how to go far!
09/14/2010
Sorry... this still tasted like liver to me! It was BAD!!! I soaked it for four hours with no change!
01/02/2005
This was my first time cooking liver, and this recipe served for a cracking template. I cooked upwards some salary first, and then sauteed the sliced onions in the bacon grease. Drained and padded them both with newspaper towels before warming them support alongside the liver. Utterly delish.

I am a recently retired butcher, and "fresh" liver is hard to come up by these days, and so I don't have it very oftentimes. With Deer & Elk season in full swing right now, I am decorated helping friends & neighbors with a very bountiful harvest this yr, and this recipe is absolutely fantastic with fresh game liver. I've made information technology three times so far. My 78 yr old Dad thinks that information technology is the closest recipe to my late Female parent'southward. That is a heck of a compliment coming from him! Thank you!
07/19/2011
I made this for supper last night. OMGosh, it was and then good. I followed the recipe exactly as written only adding some garlic powder to the flour.. Only wonderful. So tender. The husband loved information technology. Took left overs for lunch today. Thanks, will be making over again soon.
03/17/2011
perfect base of operations recipe - so add your own bear upon. Loved it.
01/13/2015
I commonly never go back to a web site after trying a recipe to describe my cooking experience, but subsequently trying this recipe I knew I only had to!! For years I had just one liver and onion recipe...I made information technology over and once again, year later on year. I decided to google something new and I'yard so glad I did! This is the all-time liver dish I have e'er tasted! My husband could not stop maxim how much he loved it. The only affair I changed was the flour, I used gluten gratuitous and used 1 loving cup. I also added a bit of vegetable broth at the end, and I was then glad to just use a chip, because information technology would have taken away the crunchy bite the liver had to it. Tin can't wait to make it again! Sandy from Houston
08/31/2011
Cooked this recipe today and was sooo impressed at how fantastic this came out. I have tried so many times to brand Liver & Onions for years - simply to throw them abroad just not anymore because they came out perfect from this recipe. So no more going out to get great liver & onions, I tin can now cook them myself.....Thank you so much
08/01/2003
I'm giving this recipe five stars even though I will only use it to make liver for our kids. Every bit my hubby and I ate it, we noticed the stiff liver flavor was missing. We grew up with that flavor and LIKE it. LOL!! So, we will not soak our liver in milk, but will always do the children's. (I simply can't believe the milk is so constructive in getting rid of that flavor.) I'm glad to take found this for the kids!
02/11/2014
I enjoyed this recipe very much! I wisked some flour in beef goop and made a delicious gravy with a splash of cooking sherry. Will be making this again presently.
03/17/2011
Use Beef Liver not Baby Beef Liver for more season and improve texture. This recipe is what I've used for many years and liver lovers beloved it.
01/26/2012
Hi there, I've never made liver before in my life but I had to for my boyfriend because he's having surgery and needs to build upward his hemoglobin, so the poor boy needs lots of fe! His mother would make liver for him once a month as a child and he thinks it'southward awful stuff. I made him this and he loved, loved loved it! Information technology was tender (milk?) and perfect and I even loved it too! The onions made all the difference and I likewise added a wee bit of rosemary to the liver (since I was using it in my roasted potatoes) and that was perfect. My mom used some dijon mustard for dipping and that helped her. Thanks for this, truly wonderful and simple!!!
02/22/2010
This was fantastic! I haven't made this is years and had simply bought some liver every bit a distraction. I had to look upward how to cook information technology and this was the first recipe that came up. I didn't' have any milk just half and half so I used that and added a chip of h2o to make milk? I merely had a few minutes to soak information technology too. I sent some over to my neighbour as well and he called raving about it too! Thanks!
06/19/2009
I must have done something wrong because it was terrible.
12/02/2009
Very practiced. I fried up some salary and rapidly chocolate-brown the liver on both sides in bacon grease as well every bit the onions. I so placed the liver, onions and chopped bacon in the oven covered with aluminum foil at 350 for twenty minutes. It came out very tender. I volition be making this again. My kids and nephew had never had liver, Loved it!
ten/21/2011
Neat recipe. I cut downward the soak time in milk to simply 15 minutes because I like the unique taste of liver. I too used calves liver because of the tenderness. A little flim-flam my mom taught me that e'er helps is to take a meat tenderizer and hit the meat simply a very little to make information technology even more than tender. The dish was simply perfect.

While I don't call up I will ever be a liver lover, I did desire to melt it for my husband because he loves information technology. My children who until at present refused to swallow it because I had never wanted besides, loved my "country fried steak"! And even I thought it was amend than the balance of the times I've tried it. Their dad asked how they liked the land fried liver and onions and they were a little shocked but decided that they were even so crazy about it! Which is great because information technology's cheap! And we're on a budget! My mother in law told me that that is why she fed my husband and sis-in-police force liver so often when they were growing upwardly. PLUS, it's good for you. But I nonetheless won't swallow more than a bite!
04/10/2011
I tried this recipe and it was absolutely Fabled!!! Information technology was the first fourth dimension I cooked liver for my family and my kids loved information technology. Wish this recipe was around when I was a kid....lol
ten/17/2010

11/03/2009
I hate liver. I grew up hating liver. The gustation use to make me throw upwardly. This recipe has officially converted me. The milk is what does the trick. The starting time time I cooked it, I soaked it for more than 5 hours. The second time, because I didn't have any time it was merely for xx minutes. I couldn't eat information technology the second fourth dimension, but the first fourth dimension was admittedly delicious.
eleven/21/2011
I dearest the advice to soak in milk. I love eating liver, just I can only stand the liver taste maybe once or twice a *twelvemonth*. So when we exercise it this fashion I tin can consume it more than often, which is peachy because I need the extra iron.
08/22/2010
This was excellent. The but affair I did different was to add 2 C of beef broth to the skillet, covered and simmered for 15 minutes. Then darn good!!
08/29/2011
I love liver only take never been able to make it at dwelling house and have information technology come out alright. This recipe makes cooking liver piece of cake and it comes out tasting dandy. Even my married man liked it.
01/17/2010
This was a fantastic recipe! I tried it tonight and prepared for 5 children 10 and nether. iv of them devoured information technology. 3 of them commented "this meat tastes really skilful". Definately ane for the recipe book!
07/19/2011
All-time I have had in a long time. Tender, cut with a fork with swell taste.
10/31/2003
Since my husband hates liver, I waited until tonight when he had to go out to make this for myself. I halved the recipe...other than that, I didn't change a thing. What a treat this was! A relaxing evening at home with one of my favorite meals - and no one complaining about the "liver smell." I truly enjoyed this dish.
05/14/2012
The milk makes the liver corking. Try buttermilk besides...even meliorate. When I use buttermilk I soak all day and periodically cascade out the old buttermilk and pour in fresh. Then I use some of the buttermilk at the finish to make a pan gravy. Fabled!
04/09/2014
I made this for my husband today and he said information technology was delicious. Tender liver with great flavors. I did add a little olive oil with the butter and then that it did non burn, used crimson onions (Vidalia would have worked great besides) and added a touch of minced garlic to the pan a couple of minutes earlier serving. If you do add garlic be careful not to add to presently every bit garlic burns quickly. I served the liver with scrambled eggs and new potatos for brunch. Next fourth dimension I'll serve with sauted Shitake mushrooms as well. This is a great recipe...thanks for sharing.
01/07/2011
This may be a a 4 or five star recipe, simply my family would exist generous to give ane star. Did not plough them into converts; I remember liking liver as a child, but did non like this. I did, notwithstanding, put the onions on breadstuff and that was quite tasty.
02/22/2010
I had never had beefiness liver before. My husband had information technology as a kid and didn't like information technology. We recently purchased a side of beef and it came with several packages of beefiness liver, so I decided to effort it. I used this recipe. I had porkchops planned as a backup for our dinner if we didn't like this. Needless to say we didn't demand the porkchops. We were both pleasantly surprised that we liked it. It was not likewise stiff and very tender.
02/26/2011
I've never used milk and flour for liver. Turned out proficient. Tender and tasty.
06/06/2011
The name is correct! It IS the accented best liver and onions!!! Give thanks y'all!!
08/01/2003
I have always hated liver, only my husband loves it. I needed to learn how to cook information technology. When I constitute this, it even smelled better earlier I cooked it. Now he wants to know why practise I melt liver every week.
01/13/2008
This is a fantastic recipe. I hate liver, merely my hubby loves information technology. I decided to effort this recipe for him and he complained that information technology didn't taste as much like liver. Just I was able to eat some and it tasted okay to me. I would say that this recipe produces a much milder season for the liver.
04/24/2003
I made this concluding night & it was truly fabulous! I had five other recipes to choose from, but the soaking in milk facinated me. It'southward very unproblematic & cook time is quick! Just keep J's iii tips in mind & I did soak the liver for nearly 2 hrs prior. I will definately add this to our fav dinners listing
02/20/2014
This was our first feel with liver and even then just because my son requested it. We all decided that this would exist a in one case a year meal for us. We agreed we like the recipe information technology'south simply the liver we had issues with. :)
01/xviii/2011
Very good dish. My wife has never liked liver but she actually enjoyed this recipe as did my kids.
08/23/2010
Needs to soak for hours offset only tastes much better than any other kind. Kids love it.
09/05/2014
No more than 30 minutes milk bathroom! That way u withal get liver flavour!! Also, actually caramelize onions, that with a Maui Onion gives not bad sweetness. Carl
09/01/2013
Couldn't stand liver until this recipe came along! It totally eliminates that nasty bite liver leaves long afterward you've eaten it.The only thing different I practice is stab up my liver in one case it's in the milk, and that seems to piece of work out well.I've let the liver sit in the milk from 10 minutes to over nighttime.Doesn't matter how long it sits information technology does the aforementioned job.
02/17/2011
Liver was one of my favorite foods as a kid, and this is exactly how my mom made it! Easy and straight forward.
05/18/2005
I will NOT eat liver and am non real fond of cooking it merely I will a couple times a yr for my husband. He LOVED this recipe and, for any reason, it didn't seem to smell as offensive to me when i was cooking at as liver unremarkably does! He may actually get liver more often now!
09/15/2013
This is an first-class recipe. I am not a liver fan and my kids would never eat it so when my last 1 went off to college, I surprised my husband with this dish. Nosotros both enjoyed it and I will make information technology again! I did buy good quality liver from the farmer's market even though we are on a budget as it was relatively inexpensive. Thanks for sharing!
02/12/2011
Just similar grandma'south.
07/24/2008
Hmmm...how practice I review this? I had (notation...past tense) a childhood memory of actually liking liver. So when I was given some to cook, I made this. The house smelled wonderful, the onions looked beautiful, simply then...I tasted it. It's a foreign flavor; I call back if yous like livers, this could exist a good recipe. But even after dousing it with ketchup, no go. So I can't really say it'south a bad recipe since I believe this is all most personal preferences. But I cannot rave almost it either.
09/14/2009
Yummy! I like the milk soaking hint. I volition make my liver this way from now on.
x/25/2013
I accept been eating and making liver and onions for years and love it just the way I make it in the flour and pepper mix. Never imagined soaking it in milk before. Glad I did! The whole family unit loved information technology fifty-fifty more! We didn't think that was possible. My husband insisted I liked, shared, thumbs'd upwardly, or whatever I could exercise to say cheers! :)
10/03/2010
This is the way my Mom fixed liver when I was young! Liver is even so i of my favs...
04/04/2013
Liked it so well I fabricated it 2 nights in a row!!!!!
02/05/2010

01/02/2006
This recipie turned out great!!!! I loved it, the liver tasted great!
04/14/2012
It tastes just like my mom'due south and I don't believe she soaked hers at all. I but tasted like liver to me. The onions were Neat (but they e'er are when sauteed), I added curry and used sunflower seeds grinded up as a flour since nosotros're grain-free. But otherwise information technology was just like ok and my DH who says he never had it, never wants it again lol.
x/22/2011
My first fourth dimension eating liver. I really liked the flavor, though I admit I got grossed out that I wasnt eating a liver and couldnt finish my helping. Was super nifty tasting though, thanks for the recipe.
01/ten/2011
Admittedly Fantastic! Biting through the crispiness of the breaded liver infused with the caramelized onion rings drives my tastebuds wild!!! Elementary and easy to learn! Very delicious! Thumbs up!
04/21/2013
I accept been using this recipe for years. My husband always told me he hated liver until I tried this receipe. I also add green pepper strips to the onions and a dash of paprika to the flour.
02/21/2011
Fantabulous! If you like liver this recipe is simple and tastes keen. Nosotros fried the liver in canola oil instead of butter and it turned out just fine.
ten/10/2011
I've made this recipe iii times. My husband loves it every fourth dimension. Invited the neighbor over and he fell in love likewise!
03/08/2009
Outstanding, as a "home daughter" from Iowa I wasn't too sure if I would like this. My Mom cooks GREAT Liver & Onions but she must be out shopping, then I had to revert to a search on the internet. I think even SHE volition beloved this. I know my husband and sons did!
01/18/2004
yum
12/18/2008
Soaking in milk very skillful. Simply all liver is best when topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms but when sauteing them add together some soy sauce!!!
02/23/2011
Splendid recipe! Loved it immensely.
01/02/2011
We used a lot less flour, yellow onions (didn't accept vidalias), and added four cloves of minced garlic. It was SO good!
09/xix/2011
Our dogs rate this recipe 4 stars. I have several pounds of liver in the freezer from a beefiness side. I haven't had it since I was maybe 10 and I now realize that I do non like liver.
09/fifteen/2013
Yum! Liver never tasted and so skillful- a definite treat. Thanks for this recipe, will be making again next fourth dimension I have liver for sure.
09/27/2010
crawly recipe remember though next time ill reduce to one onion and add together a bell pepper ( mayby experiment with a 1/iv loving cup crimson wine and and slow cooking it for an hour subsequently initial cooking) let yall know how that turns out
02/27/2009
Succulent! But if you lot similar gravy with your mashed potatoes have a can of beefiness broth with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and add to pan after cooking onions and liver. Bring to boil, reduce heat and add together liver and onions back to mixture. For about another 10 minutes or so and voilĂ gravy for your liver and onions! Applause!
01/09/2011
I accept to consume liver a couple times because my B12 tanked forth with my iron and the doctor is trying to raise it with some dietary changes and vitamins. I'1000 certain the recipe is fine and then I gave it a 4 only I'thou pitiful. I was reallay hoping this recipe would make it meliorate since i have to eat it merely information technology didn't I made information technology with more expensive calves liver, rinsed it soaked it in milk a long fourth dimension and cooked it as directed. I'll get in this way again because I take to eat it and it is a proficient recipe only at that place are no miracles when it comes to liver :o(
01/13/2004
Very good recipes. My family loves it. I doubled the onion since it tastes so proficient with the liver.
05/29/2010
This was the offset time I've ever prepared or eaten liver. It was great when served as before long as information technology was cooked merely as left overs it got a piffling tough. Next time I'll try to make simply what we're going to swallow that night. Also I think this serves viii rather than iv. I might add a few actress onions as well.
10/27/2013
This was very expert. I didn't add as much milk to the liver though because I didn't want to have away also much of the liver flavour. Besides that, I also like my onions extremely caramelized so I left it in the pan while the liver cooked as well. Besides added a tad flake of lemon juice and salt&pepper it at the terminate and it was divine!! Yum yum.
02/27/2004
Liver is never as appealing to the cook every bit it is to the rest of the family, because who wants to swallow the stuff afterward handling it raw? Yuk! That said, I fabricated this recipe with calf'southward liver, which I commonly prefer, and maybe that was a mistake (though I doubtfulness it), because nosotros all agreed that the liver had very little flavor and was pretty boring. I'm still seqarching for a recipe for liver that'southward as good every bit I've had in some nicer restaurants. They ordinarily have vinegar in the recipe, and taste much more rich and complex than this grooming did.
01/31/2010
DELICIOUS!!!!! the whole family unit loves information technology. First time I have fabricated liver and it was not similar chewing on leather, the soaking in the milk and turning one time does the play a joke on. Thanks
05/12/2010
Oh, I don't know how to rate this ane. I would give it a i star because I Detest liver and onions but my husband had been begging me for YEARS to make information technology. I finally caved and went to the butcher... he said it was the accented best liver and onions he has ever had. This was the easiest and best recipe. The liver and onions tasted just as good every bit the best I've had at any eating place. I've made this with both Vidalia onions and white onions both were good simply I do recommend the Vidalia. I likewise Fried some bacon which is a personal favorite addition of mine with liver and onions.

I used a regular yellowish onion, which turned out fine. To saute the onion, I used 2 tablespoons of Earth Residuum substitute butter spread, but for the second 2 tablespoons of butter to cook the liver in, I substituted bacon grease. We liked liver already, just at present my husband declares that he wants "liver every night!" Information technology was really succulent.
